We often get asked details about the Arizona Navel Oranges we ship. Arizona Navels come in a variety of sizes ranging from rather small (golf-ball sized) to large (softball sized). These oranges are not made in a factory, so the oranges you receive will have variations in size. Some clients prefer smaller oranges and some clients prefer large oranges. Though we cannot promise a specific size of orange is delivered to you, we can generally customize the size of the oranges shipped if you ask us to do so.
Does the size of an Arizona Navel Orange affect the flavor?
It certainly can. But, “flavor” is subjective. Some believe the smaller Arizona Navels are sweeter and some say they are more “orangey”. It all depends on your taste buds!
Do small blemishes affect the Oranges?
In general, no. Unless, of course, the blemishes are some type of damage to the fruit or a fungus. We inspect every piece of fruit that we package to ensure there is no damage or fungus. That doesn’t mean there won’t be damage in shipping, but you can rest assured we didn’t package damaged fruit.
