Description
Louisiana produces some of the best pecans in North America and Arizona Orange Company is excited to offer these pecan halves to our customers. These pecans are shelled and split into halves. These nuts are all of different native Louisiana pecan varieties, but all are considered “desirable” and are guaranteed delicious! We sourced these pecans from a small pecan farm close to Boyce, Louisiana. The farm is owned by a 3rd generation pecan farmer and family friend for over three decades. Louisiana Pecans are seasonal and usually start falling from the trees in November. The season lasts a few months, but we typically harvest and vacuum seal pecans for long-lasting freshness. Remember, you can store pecans in the refrigerator to keep them fresh for over a year.
Pecan varieties native to Louisiana are: Elliot, Candy, Sumner, Houma, Caddo, Oconee and Melrose. The selection of pecans in your batch will vary, but they will all be high quality, pretty, and great to eat or cook with.
Your pecan halves will come in a vacuum sealed bag to ensure freshness. We sell pecans in bags weighed at 2 lbs, 3 lbs, 4 lbs, and 5 lbs.
